Glenn Ford spent 30 years on death row for a crime he didn’t commit. Despite a weak case, a conviction by an all-white jury, and repeated violations of his constitutional rights, court after court upheld Glenn’s conviction until dogged work by his team of lawyers led to his exoneration on March 11 this year.

After 30 years in Angola prison, Louisiana gave Glenn $20 and turned him free.

As with all those who have been released after a long term in prison, the transition back into the community will be a major challenge. We want to make that transition just a little bit easier by providing Glenn with some funds to start his new life.
