I’m back on the road again giving speeches and meeting people all over the country after a summer of writing. My writing time was punctuated by trips home to New Orleans, a visit to Nicaragua and visits to prisoners on death row in Texas and Louisiana. I was also invited to speak at the Interfaith Gathering at the Democratic National Convention. It was a wonderful event, full of energy and diversity and people connecting heart and soul and politics.
My topic was “Our sacred responsibility”. You can view my speech here or if you’d like to view the entire keynote event, CSPAN has it on its site.
If you’d like to know where I’m speaking this Fall, click the calendar link on the right. And, Nichole, in reply to your comment: the best way to organize a speaking engagement with me is to contact my assistant, Sister Margaret Maggio, at the Death Penalty Discourse Network. She handles all the arrangements.
